Happy La Naval Fiesta

La Naval Fiesta is one of the Fiestas in October here in Angeles City, that's being held every 2nd Sunday of October in commemoration of the Virgin of the Holy Rosary.

Here's a glimpse of the Holy Rosary Church, known as the Mother Church of the City.

It was constructed from 1877 to 1996 by the Filipinos living in town under the Spanish Government.

The church was also used by the U.S. Army as Military Hospital from 1899 to 1900 when they invaded the city from Spaniards.

Today, there are several masses held on Sundays in Tagalog, Kapangpangan (Dialect), and English .

Happy Fiesta!

Fruit in Season: Rambutan

Rambutan is a tropical hairy fruit that can be found in the Philippines. I also tried eating rambutan when I was in Thailand and Malaysia, but never seen Rambutan  in Taiwan. The more red outside, the sweeter and juicy inside.

A Taste of Yellow Cab Pizza

We always go to Yellow Cab Pizza Co. in Marquee Mall or SM Clark. I like the Pepperoni and mushroom, and Cheese when it comes to pizza, the spicy Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta, Hot Wings, and Twice Baked-Potato Halves. We also tried the Dear Darla Pizza, and Cream of Squash Soup, and not to mention the Sola Iced Tea. I'm looking forward to try some of their products.

A Glimpse of Hot Air Balloon Festival

Repost: February 14, last year and it was 4:00 a.m. when we woke up just to witness this once in a year hot air balloon festival. The last time I was here, was 10 years ago amd free entrance. We arrived @ Clarkfield around 5 o'clock, and mind you it was a long line, and we park my sister's car far from the site. The weather is fine, not that hot, although lots of people from other places were there the evening before!

A lot different nationalities participated in the event. As you can see, not only hot air balloons are flying, but as the poster said "A Weekend of Everything that Flies"....
