Weekend in Subic Bay

It's nice to see Subic Bay after ten years, the former American Naval Base for many years. It's now very convenient to go there especially for us living in Northern part of Luzon, passing through Subic-Clark-Tarlac Express Way or SCTEX that will only take us 35-40 minutes.

Upon arrival, we early checked in The Lighthouse Marina Resort

At the back of the building is the lighthouse structure...

View from our window...overlooking the bay

And the Hotel's pool...

As the saying, "You can't leave Subic without eating at Meat Plus"

After lunch, shopping (window shopping) at Duty Free :)

No, we didn't have coffee, we had Thai Massage for an hour at Tonton's

After resting in the hotel, we had dinner at New Feng Huang Chinese Restaurant
and spent time and a little money at the Venezia :)

The following day, after having buffet breakfast... time to soak in the pool

Check out by 12 noon, we visited St. Roque Church

and more water sceneries...

There's a big ship loaded with lots of American Navies

    WATER ON WEDNESDAY

    Water on Wednesday
    And other days too,
    Water for me, friend,
    And water for you;

    Water as ocean
    And water as sea,
    Water for you, friend,
    And water for me;

    Every day water
    In puddle or ice
    Or snowflakes or mist—
    Oh, water is nice!

  6. Your photos look enticing. That made me think Subic is still a must-visit place.
